Western House and the construction of a new building, Egton Wing - which completed in early 2006. Phase Two is due to complete at the end of 2010 and is primarily the demolition of the existing extension building and construction of a new building that will link the original Broadcasting House with the new Egton Wing.
Following a technical appraisal and due diligence of the construction elements of the proposed development we are currently carrying out interim monitoring on a monthly basis. Each report addresses the key project issues, including construction costs, progress of the works, amendments to the

original construction programme, summary of the key risks at any given stage of the project and planning issues.
This development is one of the largest projects currently under

construction in London and is particularly complex due to the high level of technology required by the end user, the BBC. In our role as monitor, we need to be aware of all key issues on the project yet be able to succinctly summarise for the funder those which have a potential impact on its position.
